Return & Exchange Policy

Return and exchange conditions for eyewear purchased at the practice or through this website.

At Dr. Belkis Perez, OD, we carefully select our eyewear collections to provide our patients and customers with exceptional quality, craftsmanship, and service. We want you to feel confident with your purchase and encourage you to review the following Return & Exchange Policy before completing your order.

1. Eligible Returns and Exchanges

Eligible eyewear frames may be returned or exchanged within 14 calendar days from the date of purchase or delivery, provided that all of the following conditions are met:

  • The frame has not been worn, altered, damaged, adjusted, or modified.
  • The item is in new, unused, and resalable condition.
  • All original packaging, cases, cleaning cloths, accessories, documentation, certificates, tags, and other materials supplied with the product are included.
  • Valid proof of purchase is provided.
  • The item was not designated as final sale, special order, customized, or otherwise excluded under this policy.

All returned merchandise is subject to inspection before a return or exchange is approved.

2. Cartier Eyewear

Due to the luxury nature and value of Cartier eyewear, all Cartier frames must be returned in their complete original condition.

Cartier products showing signs of wear, scratches, damage, alteration, adjustment, missing components, or missing original accessories or packaging will not be eligible for return or exchange.

Where applicable, serial numbers, model information, authenticity documentation, packaging, and product condition may be verified before a return is accepted.

We reserve the right to decline any return when the returned product does not match the original merchandise sold or when there are reasonable concerns regarding its condition, authenticity, alteration, or prior use.

3. Prescription Lenses and Customized Eyewear

Prescription lenses are custom-made medical/optical products and are not eligible for return or refund once fabrication has begun.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Single-vision prescription lenses
  • Progressive lenses
  • Bifocal or multifocal lenses
  • Prescription sunglasses
  • Specialty lenses
  • Customized lens treatments or coatings
  • Lenses cut, edged, mounted, or manufactured specifically for a customer's selected frame

Frames that have been permanently modified, customized, specially ordered, engraved, or otherwise altered at the customer's request may also be considered final sale.

If there is a verified manufacturing defect or laboratory error, please contact us promptly so we can evaluate the issue and determine the appropriate remedy.

4. Special Orders

Special-order merchandise, limited-production items, customized products, and products specifically sourced at the customer's request are considered Final Sale unless the merchandise is defective or an incorrect item was provided by us.

Customers will be informed when an item qualifies as a special order whenever reasonably applicable.

5. Final Sale Items

The following products are not eligible for return or exchange unless required by applicable law or determined to have a qualifying manufacturing defect:

  • Prescription lenses
  • Customized eyewear
  • Special-order merchandise
  • Altered or modified frames
  • Items marked Final Sale
  • Worn, scratched, damaged, or used merchandise
  • Products without their original accessories or packaging
  • Products damaged after delivery or pickup
  • Gift cards, if offered

6. Manufacturing Defects

If you believe your frame or eyewear contains a manufacturing defect, please contact us as soon as possible.

We will inspect the product and, when appropriate, may work with the manufacturer or authorized distributor to determine whether the issue qualifies for repair, replacement, or another remedy under any applicable manufacturer's warranty.

Manufacturer warranties generally do not cover damage caused by:

  • Accidents
  • Improper handling
  • Impact or crushing
  • Scratches
  • Improper storage
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Unauthorized repairs or modifications
  • Damage caused by heat, chemicals, moisture, or improper cleaning

Warranty determinations may be subject to the manufacturer's individual terms and conditions.

7. Return Authorization

Before returning merchandise purchased remotely or online, please contact us to request return instructions.

A return should not be shipped without prior authorization.

You may contact us at:

  • Dr. Belkis Perez, OD
  • 11402 NW 41st Street, Suite 121, Doral, FL 33178, United States
  • Phone: (305) 239-5890
  • Email: belkisperezod@gmail.com

Please include your name, order or receipt information, the product you wish to return, and the reason for your request.

8. Return Shipping

Unless the return is caused by our error or by a verified defective product, customers are responsible for all return shipping costs.

We strongly recommend using a trackable and insured shipping service for luxury eyewear.

Dr. Belkis Perez, OD is not responsible for merchandise lost, stolen, or damaged while being returned to us.

Original shipping charges, expedited shipping charges, insurance fees, international shipping charges, customs duties, and similar charges are non-refundable unless otherwise required by law or the return resulted from our error.

9. Inspection of Returned Merchandise

All returns are inspected upon receipt.

Approval of a return is not guaranteed merely because the product was shipped back to us.

If a product does not satisfy the requirements of this policy, the return may be declined and the merchandise may be returned to the customer.

10. Refunds

Once an approved return has been inspected and accepted, the refund will generally be issued to the original form of payment.

Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider or financial institution.

Any shipping, handling, insurance, customization, laboratory, or other non-refundable charges will not be included in the refund unless otherwise required by law.

11. Exchanges

Eligible frames may be exchanged within the applicable return period, subject to availability.

If the replacement product has a higher price, the customer will be responsible for paying the difference.

If the replacement product has a lower price, any eligible balance will be handled according to the original method of payment or other applicable store procedures.

Any new prescription lenses required because the customer selects a different frame may result in additional laboratory or lens charges.

12. Damaged or Incorrect Orders

If you receive an incorrect product or merchandise that appears to have been damaged during shipment, contact us promptly after delivery.

Please retain:

  • The eyewear
  • Original packaging
  • Shipping materials
  • Product accessories
  • Proof of purchase

We may request photographs or additional information to evaluate the issue.

Please do not use or modify the merchandise while the claim is being reviewed.

13. In-Store Purchases

For purchases completed at our Doral location, the return or exchange period begins on the date of purchase or pickup, as applicable.

Customers should inspect their eyewear carefully at the time of pickup.

Custom prescription eyewear and other personalized products remain subject to the exclusions described above.

14. Authenticity and Product Protection

Because we sell premium and luxury eyewear, we take product authenticity and merchandise integrity seriously.

Returned products may be compared against transaction records, model numbers, serial numbers, packaging, included documentation, photographs, or other identifying information associated with the original sale.

Any product suspected of having been substituted, materially altered, counterfeited, or fraudulently returned will not be eligible for refund or exchange.

15. Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Return & Exchange Policy is intended to limit any consumer right or remedy that cannot legally be waived under applicable federal, Florida, or other applicable law.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Return & Exchange Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our business practices, products, or applicable legal requirements.

The version published on our website at the time of purchase will apply to that transaction unless otherwise required by law.
